A Jesmond Dene House Wedding: Mel and Matt
Jesmond Dene is a green oasis set on the edge of Newcastle City Centre. And at the top end of the Dene is Jesmond Dene House. A stunning hotel which is also a wonderful wedding venue. And this was where I shot Mel and Matt's small intimate wedding.
With only 25 guests surrounding them, this was the smallest wedding of the year for me. And it's certainly the smallest one I've shot at Jesmond Dene House. So this was a bit of a departure from what I have been used to here.
Small though didn't mean the wedding was any less emotional. Matt struggled to keep the tears back through the ceremony but once the "I do's" were done the tears stopped and the laughter began.
After a quick stroll around the Dene for a few photos we then head back to Jesmond Dene House to enjoy a bite to eat and have a lot of fun. There were no formal speeches so once the meal was finished and cleared away the room was quickly turned around ready for the evening celebrations.
When I left the small band of guests were jumping around and dancing. It was only a small wedding but they packed in as much energy as a large wedding!
